Being at the heart of everything has never been more convenient
The exquisite location of the palace is equally of historical significance, as almost exactly 2000 years ago it was the location of the ancient necropolis in the Roman settlement of Emona (Iulia Aemona). The unique location of the Antiq Palace is equally complimented by the inimitable history of the building, the first written records and the mentioning of which date back to the beginning of 16th Century of our era. The building was the city residential palace of a Slovene noble family, which is mirrored in its unique character. In credit, to its inimitable features and rich history, Antiq Palace has recently joined the renowned collection of the Historic Hotels of Europe and Schlosshotels & Herrenhauser and its authentic design has been captured by the Hubertus von Hohenlohe in his upcoming issue of the 500 Very Special Hotels of the World. The ideas and inspiration for the renovation of Antiq Palace were taken from the original features of the buildings such as walls, staircases, windows and frescoes, which also became the centrepieces for the interior design. The use of the natural materials such as stone, wood and lime helps the walls to “breathe” and thus stimulates the natural air circulation and pleasant air temperatures, which enable the guests to enjoy a good night sleep.
