"Museum of Shells" is a permanent museum of shells and snails, as well as other molluscs and their neighbors, located on Tartini Square in Piran. With this content, the museum is unique in Slovenia and one of the rarest in Europe. In the mussel museum, you can see over 4,000 selected exhibits of snails, shells and other unusual creatures from all over the world, as well as our forests, rivers and the sea. There are also extremely rare examples that are rarely seen in other world-class museums. The giant yarn Liza, a sea shell whose shells weigh 150 kg, is also of a large format! This is now the largest shell in Slovenia, and its homeland is the Pacific Ocean.
