Občina Vojnik

The municipality of Vojnik extends to 75 km2 north of the princely city. A little over 8,720 inhabitants live here. Firefighting, cultural, tourist, sports and other associations are active in the three local communities of Frankolovo, Nova Cerkev and Vojnik. With traditional events organized by our associations, we are recognized in the wider Slovenian area.

Most of the citizens commute to work in neighboring municipalities, but the municipality itself avoided a heavier industry and thus, with smaller companies and crafts, remains predominantly agricultural. By building the Arclin Craft and Business Zone, we gave our and other entrepreneurs a chance, and at the same time we see an opportunity in the development of the countryside and the related tourism activities that attract tourists and travelers.

The green municipality, which is also symbolized by the overall image, invites you to see its cultural and natural heritage: the architectural heritage in the village of Polže, several beautifully preserved sacral monuments in Frankolove, Nova Cerkva and Vojnik. For visitors who are sports-inspired, tennis, football, volleyball, fitness and squash clubs are available. But since the world looks different from horseback, we wish you a happy hedgehog in Razgorje. In Frankolove, you can refresh yourself in the open pool during the summer months. Cycling and hiking trails invite you. The Vojnik Balloon Club offers you a view from under the clouds of our region, which will take you with a hot air balloon into a world of peace and quiet, where you will feel the morning dew before it falls to the ground. Popular guesthouses allow you to gather new strength. Careful farm housewives at tourist farms will spoil you with delicacies that our grandmothers already knew.
