Spominska hiša Ivana Cankarja

memorial house Ivan Cankarja standing on slope in nish city center. the current house was built in 1883 at the burning of Cankar's birthplace, which burned down in a great fire of the year 1879. They only had a wall clock left. year 1948 they started renovating the house.

The current house is slightly larger and has a different arrangement of rooms than the original house. a building is entered through black kitchen, from which you can get to the chamber and the house (living area). There is also a tailor's workshop in the house (Cankar's father was a tailor), from which you can come to pin.

The house is equipped with objects that were brought from the museum funds. On display is a collection of objects showing the living conditions of a poorer family at the end of 18. and at the beginning 19th century.
