Visit Domžale

The municipality of Domžale is considered a place of satisfied people. It was created from the former 4 villages (Spodnje Domžale, Zgornja Domžale, Stob and Študa), in which people were engaged in agriculture, carting, milling and sawmilling, and later especially straw-making. Domžale was once famous for straws all over Europe! This heritage is preserved by the Straw Museum of Domžale, and Menaček's homestead offers encounters with other craft traditions and ethnological heritage. An important advantage of Domžal is the location next to Kamniška Bistrica, next to which there is a green recreational axis, and other green points and paths are also accessible and well marked nearby. In the Domžal area, the largest Slovenian summer theater in the open air (Studenec) operates, and the famous churches in Groblje, Krtina and Dob also arouse interest.
