Dolenjska (Lower Carniola) It is one of the most economically successful regions in Slovenia. It is characterized by hills dotted with vineyards and many brick houses and churches, the Krka river, the karst world by the river Temenica, rich archaeological sites, quality thermal spas and the European wine specialty Cviček. Its capital, Novo mesto, which bears the title "city of situls", is the cultural, educational and economic center of the region.

White Landscape It is the land of white birches, the white national costume, the green George, the Easter Easter eggs of Belokraj, the valley of the river Kolpa, which in 2010 was a European destination of excellence, a rich dance and narrative tradition, and folk traditions. Churches, stone houses, granaries, brick houses, vineyards, haylofts, numerous caves, sinkholes, litter boxes and cliffs, as well as events such as Vinska vigred, Jurjevanje and Semiška ohcet, give it a special stamp.

Kočevsko-Ribniška It is the highest lying part of the region, as the peaks in this area exceed 1200 m. above sea level, and individual settlements are also located at 900 m. altitude. Boundless paths lead you through unspoiled nature, a vast Natura 2000 area and forests that also house the brown bear, wolf and lynx. The karst world stretches from the typical Rhaetian bay via Mala and Velika gora all the way to Rinža and Kolpa. Kočevsko-Ribniška is characterized by local crafts (dry goods and pottery), Kočevska vasi, wateriness and many culinary delights, such as Kostelski zelodec, Čušpajz, Kočevski honey, Kostelska rakija, Šedrška Troika... Among the most high-profile events are the Ribniški Fair, "Tamburing in Kostele" and the market day in Sodražica.
