Zavod za kulturo, turizem in šport Polzela

The Institute for Culture, Tourism and Sport Polzela started operating in November 2011. It has its premises in Komenda Castle.

The purpose and mission of the institute is to ensure the continuous presence of quality content from the fields of culture, tourism and sports, as well as more efficient organization, development and promotion of activities in the mentioned areas with the aim of raising the quality of life in the municipality and better recognition of the municipality of Polzela.

In the castle, in addition to the premises of the institution, there are also rooms for other public needs. As part of the project Ecomuseum of Hops and Brewing of Slovenia - vit point, the oldest horizontal hop drying plant from the second half of the 19th century, where a rich collection of precious Maltese exhibits is exhibited, has been renovated knightly order. The castle also has a nicely furnished Gothic room intended for wedding ceremonies. There are also spaces for the organization of occasional exhibitions (artists and others), cultural and other events take place (concerts, recitals, reading days, fairy tale lessons for children).

• Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.
• Wednesdays from 7am to 5pm
• Closed on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays
