Klet Brda

Klet Brda is the largest producer and exporter of Slovenian wines, which wins wine lovers at home and in as many as 26 countries around the world with its recognizable style. The cellar brings together 400 winegrowers from Bri, who have been co-creating the successful story of the Briška winemaking for more than half a century. The mission of Kleti Brda is to express the uniqueness of the Goriška Brda terroir in wine and to contribute to the development of the field through successful marketing. They are guided by a deep respect for nature and its cycles, as quality is born in the vineyard. The Goriška Brda winery was created in 1957 as a cooperative and is still 100% owned by its members. Ever since its beginnings, it has largely influenced the development of the economy and the quality of life in Brdy. The Goriška brda winery manages 1,000 hectares of vineyards; which stretch halfway between the Adriatic and the Alps. They are convinced that sustainability is the only right way. That is why most vineyards are included in the integrated production system. In Brdy we are talking about heroic viticulture. The locations are challenging: steep slopes, terraced vineyards, where almost exclusively manual cultivation is possible. But that is precisely why such areas produce wines of special quality. Wines that clearly tell the story of their origin. Each family in Brdy cultivates an average of two to three hectares of land, with special attention to natural cycles and precise quality monitoring. The secret of how to care for a vineyard is passed down from generation to generation - unforced, natural, with patience and love. Heroic viticulture is a mission that comes from love for the land and the rich heritage of our ancestors. Wine Cellar Goriška Brda - an exciting journey into the charming world of wines in an environment where tradition is intertwined with modernity, offering visitors interesting tours of the cellar and professionally guided tastings of their wines. Guided tastings with a tour are only possible with prior notice. Individuals and small groups are offered a "self-tasting" tasting without notice.
