The company Mesarija Lečnik s.p. was created in 1990 in Ravne in Carinthia, when Alojz Lečnik wants to realize the vision of his own sale of quality meat and meat products. This vision is supported by the then unemployed, civil engineer by education, son Tomo. During the establishment, they are supported both financially and morally by their wife, or mother Heda, who was already twenty-five years an entrepreneur in the field of catering.
Independence required the creation and development of all the business functions necessary for the successful operation, including of a small company. Despite the initial problems and the economic crisis in Slovenia at the time of independence, the company is developing and growing successfully, and today it has twenty-five employees.
Production and administration, as well as one of the stores, are located in Ravne, where the company's headquarters are located. The remaining three shops in Mežica, Slovenj Gradac and Radlje are located in each of the three Carinthian valleys, covering the entire Carinthia region.
