Šokčev dvor

Šokčev dvor in Žunice It represents a characteristic farmhouse for the Obkolpa part of Bela Krajina and is one of the protected cultural monuments in the Kolpa Landscape Park. The homestead is located at the entrance to the village along the Vinica - Adlešiči road, 20 km from Črnomlje. It is a type of closed homestead consisting of a house, a shed and a barn. The house is connected by a wall in which the entrance door to the courtyard is, so the yard is closed on all sides. The house has been restored. It has a decorated farmhouse room, where visitors can see antique furniture, a child's cradle, old farm clothes, homemade linen, etc. The second room is arranged in a dining room with an old bread oven, suitable for private parties and visitors.

The court is a typical form of a homestead in Bela Krajina, especially along the Kolpa River. 

Visitors to Šokčev dvor are welcomed in traditional Belokraj clothes, with a cake and a drink to welcome them. Together, we go through the historical outline of the Uskotje and the life of the people of Belokranje, a presentation of local crafts and the protected area of the Kolpa Landscape Park.
