The organic farm Makek is located in a romantic glacial plain, at the foot of the Kamnik-Savinj Alps with a spectacular view of the amphitheater mountain scenery of Makekova Kočna. A calm and sunny location in unspoiled nature will have a beneficial effect on your well-being and help you return home fresh and full of new strength. The climate here is subalpine, the air is clean and rich in ozone.

The farm is an excellent choice for families with children, as it offers you a non-traffic, creative and varied farm environment with immediate proximity to nature. It is also the closest starting point for all nature lovers who want to conquer the peaks of Grintava, the nearby mountains and mountain huts, or discoverers of the other treasure of our Alpine valley, as the Čedca, Prodi, Rjavec, Veliki vrh waterfall is located just a stone's throw away and a Czech cottage.

Because the integrity of our environment and your health and well-being on our farm is important to us and because we want to actively contribute to this, we have been managing the farm since 2000 according to the biological method of farming. Take a look at our mountain garden, where we grow the food we serve you daily, our happy hens, our sheep and horses that enjoy a free life on vast pastures and taste the difference made possible by an aware life philosophy.

At the Makek organic farm, we pay special attention to the health and well-being of our guests.

The raw materials for the dishes that we consume daily either in our organic gardens, or come from the surrounding farms of the unspoiled lake valley. Enriched in our home kitchen, where we prepare them on a daily basis, we serve them only fresh. You too can taste the difference that makes your vacation at Makekov different.

You will be accommodated in carefully furnished rooms, which are distinguished by products made from natural materials, such as massive wooden furniture, wooden floors, wool carpets and blankets made of natural materials. The beneficially peaceful surroundings and fresh mountain air will immerse you in a peaceful sleep.

We furnished our best rooms with high-quality natural materials, and they are distinguished above all by their spaciousness, charm and wonderful views of mountain nature. They are also very suitable for guests with allergies.

The authentic farm atmosphere of the old Slovenian farm will certainly be an original experience and a pleasant change for you and your invited guests. Enchant your loved ones with delicious and healthy food from unspoiled nature, a spectacular panorama and the indescribable silence of our surroundings, in an idyll 950 m above sea level.
At the organic farm Makek, upon prior reservation, we prepare an experiment of our house specialties or homemade meals in the composition and service adapted to your personal wishes.

Even your youngest will be impressed by the safe, non-traffic location with a varied farming area and a large children's playground in the orchard.

The specialty of our kitchen is the careful, seasonal selection of healthy and natural foods, mostly from our own production. Without reaching for pre-prepared or ready-made products or using a microwave in the preparation. All dishes that come to your table are prepared exclusively fresh. This allows us to serve you dishes that make your visit to our farm so delicious and special.

We can accommodate up to twenty-seven guests for Sunday lunches, wedding lunches, other personal and occasional holidays such as baptisms, communions, confirmations, business lunches or to the celebration of anniversaries, birthdays and abrahams, round anniversaries, business events and other occasions. For everyone you want, you can also spend the night on the farm.

You can also give your loved ones a gift - a lunch voucher at the Makek Bio Farm. All lunches require prior notice.

We invite you to try the specialties of our cuisine, BIO lamb and BIO cavalry from our own breeding, which are distinguished by the top quality of our organic high-altitude production and the unique nutritional and healing properties of these two non-greasy of meat species that are classified as meat delicacies and that managed to convince our many customers.

Let yourself be pampered with our other home-made delicacies, such as štruklji, dumplings, žlinkrofi, buckwheat brandy, lake mass with sour milk, pumpkin, porridge or meat soups and, of course, homemade potica, pies, freezing and other peculiarities of the housekeeper.
