Our mission is also to involve the local community in the activity of a tourist farm. In providing raw materials, food, handicraft products, helping to organize activities and occasionally increasing the volume of work, the farm also includes the inclusion of the immediate and extended family and other locals.

A house of a special variety offers a rainbow of pleasure and diversity, which can be seen in the thematically varied and diverse apartments. The four apartments mean four stories. Each story is written under one name of the flower: chicory, majnica, rosemary and lily of the valley.

We find a different but unique pulse in each apartment. But they fully shine like a house of a special kind. In addition to the basic accommodation, we also offer various corners and larger spaces where our visitors can socialize or simply rest. The arrangement and equipment of the facility is also suitable for people who use wheelchairs for movement and for families with children with developmental disabilities or mental health problems, as we intend to offer our services also for therapeutic purposes of various workshops for people with special needs. A unique catering area has been open in the typical Velbana cellar since May 30, 2009, where we offer our selection of culinary delights typical of our area.

When heating and cooling our house of a special variety, we only use renewable energy sources, namely the sun, water and air. With this, we take care of a clean environment.

The food and drink in our offer is based on production on our organic farm.

The house of a special variety is located on the border between the Karst and the Vipava Valley, in the immediate vicinity of the famous Štanjel in the village of Kodreti. The village was named after the now extinct Kodre family, which settled here a few centuries ago. It lies in the valley of the Branica river, which separates the Vipava valley, the Karst and the ridge of Vrha (Switzerland), between the Lukovnik and Gradišče hills. Kodreti are a typical coastal village typical of this area; The climate is distinctly Mediterranean, with some characteristics of the continental climate. Despite the typical storm for these places, the village is hidden from it, as it lies in the overwhelming lee of the neighboring hills.

The culinary offer of a house of a special variety refers mainly to typical coastal dishes, which are characteristic of these places and in which, as in the landscape itself, an exceptional variety and variety of flavors can be seen. In addition to autochthonousness, most of the goodies we offer you are characterized by organic processing, which is why the range of flavors is constantly changing over the seasons.

Our chef and a team of colleagues take care of the culinary pleasures, who will prepare you a proper journey through the tastes from our memories. This is how we create our goal - to create a house of well-being in a practically unspoilt area of the Braniška valley.

Temple and winemakers
In the premises of our house, we also offer you a smaller Velban space - a temple. We dedicated it to you for tastings of our local wines and wines from other winemakers, who will blend in with the space while fragrant hand-cut slices of dried home-made prosciutto. The space is closed, so our other guests do not disturb you in your feelings.

apartments
All apartments and rooms in our "house" have large and comfortable beds (length 210 cm) with bedding made of quality and very pleasant materials. The extra beds are comfortable and big enough even for an adult.

In the apartments and rooms there is an LCD TV, telephone, internet connection and desk. The stay is pleasant even in the summer heat, as all rooms are air-conditioned.

A maximum of 23 people can sleep with us in total.
