Hostel Histria Koper

Hostel Histria is located in the old town center of Koper, in the alley next to Prešeren Square at the northern gate or Muda Gate. Visitors and travelers are charmed by the renovated Istrian house, which offers a warm and safe stay. The beds are installed in 5 air-conditioned rooms with 3 or 4 bunks each.

Guests have 3 shared bathrooms, equipped with tuškabina, and 2 tea kitchens for preparing breakfasts and hot drinks, as well as a washing machine and dryer. Cabinets with locks are also available to visitors in each of the rooms. The entire facility is covered by a wireless Internet signal (WiFi), free for guests.

There is an information point at the reception where you can find out all the details about Koper and the hinterland and the possibilities for various trips. From the hostel, you can also go on foot to visit the old city center, explore the main attractions according to the staff's recommendations and satisfy your hunger in local taverns.

The hostel is located in the largest coastal city, it is only 10 minutes from the main railway and bus station, so it is also a suitable starting point for:

• Tours of other coastal cities such as Izola and Piran and Trieste, where you can enjoy a mixture of Istrian Mediterranean culture and gastronomy,
• A tour of the Sečovel Salt Flats and a visit to the Salt Museum and thus learn about the history and the present of collecting sea salt,
• A visit to the new "OpenAir" spas in the Sečovel Salt Flats, and treat yourself to a pleasant outdoor bath with the healing effects offered by the goods of the Mediterranean Sea,
• A visit to the villages in the hinterland of Slovenian Istria (Koštabona, Puče, St. Peter, Truška...), which will impress you with the authenticity of Istrian culture,
• Visit to the villages of the Karst edge (Hrastovlje, Osp, Ocizle...) and treat yourself to some adrenaline while climbing the karst walls,
• Tour of the hinterland attractions such as the world-famous Postonjska jama, Škocjanske jame, Lipica...,
• Tour of wine and olive cellars with a tasting of Istrian wines and Istrian olive oils.
