The roots of Kendo's mansion go back to the long-ago year 1377, when the first landowners already managed the farm above the Idrijca river valley. In the ancient Spodnja Idrija, which has been developing since 1156 under the shelter of the baroque church of Mary on Skalca, the solid and prominent Kendo family encouraged economic and cultural progress. The mighty building of Kendo's former homestead is today restored and revived in the spirit of the past. With the greatest pride and respect, we present and preserve the rich tradition of our home environment.
In the premises of the manor, luxury and elegance match the homeliness, and the friendliness of the staff creates a relaxed atmosphere. The guest is filled with the feeling that he is truly welcome, as he receives hospitality, peace and home warmth. Since 2000, Kendo's mansion has been a member of the international association Relais & Châteaux.
