Penzion Berc is located in a quiet location in the middle of the rugged Bled landscape, which rises to the east into the mighty Julian Alps. It is only a three-minute walk from the city center of Bled, one of the most beautiful and oldest tourist places in Slovenia - Lake Bled is equally close. Penzion Berc is much more than just a provider of accommodation and good cuisine. Their story grew and developed on the foundations of more than 100 years of tradition, which begins in 1908, when their great-grandfather Jožef Berc became the owner of a farm estate. Today's powerful exterior image of the boarding house still preserves the red thread of the former architecture and reminds us of the path taken by their ancestors. The turning point for the development of today's boarding house was in 1954, when Ludvik and Rozalija Berc decided to abandon agricultural activity and thus to enter the challenge-filled path of tourism. The path was not easy, but it was worth it and a special success was crowned in the early 70s, when Ludvik Jr. and Milena Berc took over the homestead and turned it into the most modern boarding house in Yugoslavia at the time. The farm has been turned into a friendly boutique hotel. With respect, they maintain their dedication to tradition, which makes a peaceful and homely atmosphere felt at every step, while at the same time following modern trends in the field of interior and exterior and top cuisine. Now the third generation continues the successful story of Penzion Berc. They swear by homeliness, which makes guests always happy to return, and at the same time successfully keep up with the times both in the renovation of the premises and in the offer of top cuisine.
