About
Our tourist farm is located 10 km from Cerknica in the direction of Begunje - Rakitna. We offer accommodation and food to order. The village and the farm are located on a plateau, at 788m above sea level, and is therefore very suitable for people with lung problems (asthmatics).
The view from our tourist farm extends to Cerkniško jezero, Nanos, Snežnik, Kalič, Logaške griče, Javornike and Slivnica, and Špičasto Stražišče (955 m) with a view of Menišija rises above the village.
Our homestead is an excellent starting point for visiting inland attractions such as Cerkniško Lake, Rakov Škocijan, Slivnica, Križna jama and Pekel waterfall.
By agreement, we also offer you the option of renting an accommodation facility. On the lower floor there is a large space (for approx. 30 people), with a restaurant, a convenient kitchen, a bathroom and a toilet. There are two rooms on the upper floor, with five beds and wood heating (fireplace-stove).
By agreement, there is also the possibility of camping and renting a place to hold a picnic.
At the farm itself, you have the opportunity to visit:
- Pets (horses, goats, rabbits, chickens, geese, peacocks)
- machines (older and newer)
- farm chores (ploughing, planting, pruning, mowing and harvesting).
You can also try your hand at working on our farm. From our perch, you can also see wild animals (deer, roe deer, roe deer, hind, wild boar) at night.
The following activities and attractions are also available to you:
- Cycling (cycling route marked - 20 km)
- Walking path (following bear's footsteps)
- a natural history learning trail (can be guided)
- During the summer months, you can refresh yourself in Cerkniške jezera or Rakitna,
- In winter, you can pretend to skiing, sledding and skating on Lake Cerkniška,
The EU footpath E6 also passes through the village.
