Halfway between Ljubljana and Zagreb, in the heart of Dolenjska, 3 minutes away from the exit of the Ljubljana-Obrežje highway for Šmarješke Toplice and Otočec, our family Zorko and his team work hard for you every day at the Domen inn. During the week, we cook snacks so that you are not hungry during work, we prepare affordable lunches for you, so that it is not even worth it to cook at home! For the weekend, you can choose from at least three delicious menus from €8.00 and, of course, a wide range of dishes from the menu (A'la carte). Our dishes are made from the best ingredients mainly from the surrounding farms and mostly from local suppliers.

To order, and sometimes just like that, we roast a baby or lamb outside on a spit, we offer a barbecue program on charcoal, we also have seafood dishes (squid, sea fish...) on the menu, pizza and pasta. Our specialties are Dolenjska-fried goats, Florjan's trout (peopless trout with meat filling and porcini mushrooms), sea salad..

Homemade bread and fragrant buns, house strudel, štruklji, dried meat, homemade noodles, etc. They are our constant, and we season the offer seasonally with dishes such as Martin's goose with red cabbage, millets and brandy, a farmhouse or summer stew with chanterelles and porcini mushrooms from the nearby forest.

We pour wines from the family vineyard, the guests are impressed by the homemade natural juice and various homemade brandies; The unique velvet liqueur, the house liqueur made from cvička, which is also a protected trademark of the Zorko family, is especially great approval.

We can boast that some of you have been with us literally since birth, when your father, together with friends, celebrated your coming into the world. Some of you had a baptism of Akosil at your confirmation, but there are more and more of you who entrust us with the organization and feast on your most beautiful day, your wedding. We don't make any less effort for you even if you want to celebrate any anniversary, or just treat a group of friends or business partners in a first-class way! We adapt to your wishes and demand that you have no unnecessary worries.

Larger groups can also serve in the restaurant, as the number of seats is over 100, and there is enough space left for a musical group and dancing. Guests can observe the green ambiance through large bright glass surfaces. The smaller restaurant, which is also a gallery for the works of art of various painters, can accommodate up to 50 guests.

In addition to delicious, varied food and friendly service, our biggest advantage is the accessible location by the side of the road, but at the same time in the green embrace of trees and flowers. The Toplica stream, which flows in the immediate vicinity, helps the feeling of well-being. Here you can drink beer in peace or eat ice cream literally with your feet in the water. The warm-up bodies in it allow you to drink well-deserved coffee with a cigarette with a cigarette without fear of pneumonia, even in winter. At the Zorko homestead, whose heart is Domen's inn, everyone can find something for themselves, families with children especially like to visit us, because they can't be bored here! The children's playground nearby and the children's corner in the restaurant allow you, the parents, to enjoy the food in peace, while your children get distracted by playing or reading a fairy tale about a red piglet that bravely saved the inhabitants of the forest from the evil wolf! A special charm for children is that they can keep fish right outside the window of the restaurant.

In addition to the "native" fish in the stream, there are also a bunch of different animals on the farm, from the smallest chickens, kittens, geese, a dog, all of them to horseback! A little more attentive, you can notice scenes every day that you otherwise only meet in unspoiled nature. Herons, snakes, wild ducklings, muskrats, squirrels, even crayfish and written kingfish, as well as a variety of rare birds are our regular "guests".

Our football and tennis courts on artificial grass offer plenty of opportunities for recreation, by agreement we offer horse riding for children or rent bikes, and some like to ride a canoe in the light of torches along the mysterious riverbed of Mlinščica And they experience warm evenings in a particularly romantic way.

As part of the homestead, rooms are also rented out at the tourist farm, so those who don't like to get behind the wheel can enjoy themselves carefree... The rooms are equipped with a bathroom, TV, refrigerator and wireless internet. Of course, guests who use overnight capacities can also be served to domestic breakfasts, half or full boards, upon request. For several-day visitors, we are happy to organize and advise various activities (riding, bicycle rental, masonry tour, tours around the area, balloon flight, boating on the Krka River, catching fish, hunting,...

The surroundings offer a wide selection! In addition to the thermal baths in Šmarješke Toplice, which are less than 2 km away, Dolenjski biser Otočec is about a 20-minute walk away. The wine-growing hills are especially suitable for experiencing the authentic Dolenj atmosphere during the harvest. History

For our family, tourism is clearly already written in their genes, as the first notes about renting out rooms and the inn date back to the 18th century, when they hosted carters on the homestead, who transported "goods" with carriages to Vienna and Vienna. The great-grandparents also had the first inn with rooms in Šmarješke Toplice, and this even before Terme no.
