Gostilna pri Kolovratu

Gostilna pri Kolovrat is one of Ljubljana's oldest inns. The first archival record was in 1836 under the name Zum Spinrandl. In the 19th century, she counted the poet Fran Levstik, the opera singer Josip Nolli, the first Slovenian mayor Petar Grasseli, Judge Kuralt, among the constant guests of the poet Fran Levstik. The most well-known was the inn during the two wars as the main gathering place for foams (the most important cultural figures of the time). The founder of the Penato group was neuropsychiatrist Alfred Šerko. In addition to Šerko, the writers Oton Župančič, Igo Gruden, Pavel Golia, Ciril Kosmač, Fran Albreht, Juš Kozak, Ivan Prijatelj, Slavist Matija Šmalc, biologist Pavel Grošelj, literary critic Josip were also in the group. Vidmar, Lili Novy, sometimes also Alma Karlin, literary historians Avgust Pirjevec and Joža Glonar, painters Maksim Gaspari, Niko Pirnat, Božidar Jakac, composers Anton Lajovic, Marjan Kozina, Slavko Osterc. The inn was also regularly visited by the renowned architect Jože Plečnik.
