Gostilna Vitez

The Pri Vitez restaurant was in the Breg 20 building for several decades, otherwise the inn was previously in the building as early as 1574. It was also owned by Prešeren's friend Andrej Smole for a while. On the house is a famous baroque portal, which is led by a knight with Šlem, the work of Francesco Robba, and on the second floor by frescoes by the Slovenian baroque painter Franc Jelovšek. An eminent company went to the Vitez inn. Famous writers and poets, and then also President Tito and his successors. In the inn, you can see photos of famous guests of the time. They also keep a book with photos and entries of guests from the 60s of the previous millennium.

Gostilna Vitez has long been known for its ancient Slovenian delicacies. With the new chef Jakob Jeral at the helm, the Slovenian dish got a new look. With a wide range of Slovenian dishes and selected wines, they spoil you every day of the week. They also offer you daily business lunches and pamper your taste buds.

In the Vitez inn, they have 4 rooms where you can be entertained. You can choose between:

1. Jazbeč's room is the first on the left and the only one with a view of the Ljubljanica. It is suitable for a small company of up to 15 people. For lunches or for balances with a glass of wine for two, the room has 12 seats.

2. The knight's room is suitable for wine tasting, for waiting for the table or for the company of up to 20 people, with a glass of selected wine with knightly cold cuts and snacks.

3. Deer room is more calm and hidden. It has 14 seats for our Alacart offer or business lunches. It is also suitable for a slightly larger closed company, up to 20 people.

4. They also serve you in their bear salon, where they can host larger closed groups, they can organize events and weddings according to your wishes. The room has 44 seats during the day, but it is also suitable for 60 people or more. There is a piano in the room and there is also the possibility of a dance floor.

They also have tasting menus for foreign guests who want to get to know Slovenian food. Of course, they can prepare menu combinations and an event according to your wishes.
