A kilometer further from the Olimje monastery, the land of fairy tales and imagination hides in the forest, where small and large visitors will enter the world of fairy tales and once again get to know Kekc, Bedanc, Krjavlja, Snow White, Red Riding Hood and other fairy-tale characters...

A dwarf on the balcony will welcome you and invite you to the country. Along the way through the forest, you will meet witches and characters from Slovenian and foreign literature. You will be able to help the mayor of Butala look for Cefizlj, as he is steadily evading the Butal policeman. You will see all seven dwarfs from the fairy tale about Snow White, including the fidcher, who prefers to cut the moon rather than work in a mine. You will remember the fairy tale about the star Sleeping Beauty and the comet Repatac. You will hurry past the witch Čiri Bura, who has already lit a fire in the oven, and crawl past Bedanc. He had a hearty lunch and is now sleeping and snoring to be heard all over the valley. You will also be able to try to blow away the dragon that bothers Žogica nogica.

In the log cabin, visible from the road, there is a museum "How did your grandfather and grandmother live". Life 100 years ago under Olimska gora will be presented to you by members of the Korenčkovi family. The family had 15 members and they all worked hard. The children ironed, ground barley for coffee or corn for polenta. Grandma purred on the spinning wheel while her grandfather was playing the accordion. The youngest Andrejček slept in the cradle, while first-grader Ana practiced writing on a tablet. The other members of the family are outside the hut, the men are preparing the pit, the firewood for the winter, cooking brandy and mowing the grass, while the women wash their diapers in the graben, carry water and collect dried fruit.

The land of fairy tales and imagination is open for sightseeing every day from morning to evening. The cottage at the witch, which houses the museum, is open on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. and by appointment.

A few times a year, and especially for Halloween, a night tour of the country is also possible. At that time, with the help of torches, candles, kerosene and other lights, we conjure up a very special atmosphere, which is further enhanced by the mischievous living witch Kuni Gunda and the mayor of Butal, who says a lot and says little.
