Galerija - Muzej Lendava

As part of the public service, the public institution Galerija - Lendava Museum carries out gallery, museum and tourist activities, and at the same time takes care of the multicultural and ethnic aspects of the activity.

The programs are carried out in three locations: at Lendava Castle, in the Museum of Umbrella, Bourgeoisie and Printing, and in the Synagogue.

The following permanent collections are set up at Lendava Castle: the memorial rooms of the sculptor György Zala and the painter and graphic artist Štefan Galič, a collection of replica weapons, military equipment and other props Castle on the lookout, the ethnological exhibition Culture of the Hittite Folk textiles, an exhibition of stone remains of lapidariums and an exhibition of the century Lendava and a collection of small plastics in bronze.

The museum annex in the former bourgeois house at Glavni ulica 52 presents a permanent local history exhibition Bourgeoisie, Printing and Umbrella Station.

Since 2012, the synagogue has been the permanent exhibition Židovstvo Prekmurje.

Gallery - Museum Lendava is performed by an important art colony:

• An international art colony that draws from the rich treasury of the last quarter of the 20th century, when the development of art programs co-shaped Lendava as a regional center of contemporary art.
• Lindart Lendava is an artistic manifestation that primarily strives to establish a meeting place for artists of the younger generation who work within classic art fields. When socializing, the project also enables young creators to improve professionally. This project is also taking place at Lendava Castle.

For many years, the GML Institute has also been cooperating with prestigious galleries and private collectors of the European space, the result of this cooperation are exhibitions of national and international importance.
