The farm is located in Kočevsko in the southern part of Slovenia, more precisely in the village of Rogati hrib (Hornberg – ancient) - a former closed area.
Our farm is currently engaged in the breeding and processing of Scottish high mountain cattle. There is also a project in the making that will upgrade our farm with tourist activity.
We have 128 cattle on the farm, which move around 70 hectares of pristine pastures throughout the year and are fed from natural springs of water.
WHAT WE OFFER:
Tour of the farm and free-range animal husbandry, as well as professional advice on animal husbandry.
Aged meat (steaks, meat for goulash, ribs, ground, ramstek, lung, meat for soup).
tanned skins of different colors and sizes (white, black, yellow, gray, brown, red, gold, silver).
Horns (hunting device for calling deer).
sale and transport of live animals for further breeding.
Scottish cattle meat is highly valued in world cuisine and among gourmets, as it has a specific taste and, unlike other types of beef, low fat and cholesterol, and a high content of protein and iron.
The meat of Scottish cattle is particularly healthy because we do not milk the cows and all the milk remains exclusively for the calves and, due to the conditions of grazing, the meat is significantly less fatty. The meat is suitable for preparing soups, appetizers, roast meat, dishes on a spoonful of sauces and a wide variety of main dishes, which are otherwise prepared from ordinary beef; Including steaks. All cured meats such as salami, sausages, syringes, smoked ribs, etc. are also excellent.
